Our School Day

Here is a breakdown of our school day:

The school day begins at 8.50 am. A staggered start is in operation; therefore, the school gates are open from 8.40am until 8.50am.

​

The day begins with a Burnside Breakfast for all children. 

​

Nursery session times:

• 8.45 am – 11.45 am

• 12.30 pm – 3.30 pm​​​​​

School Lunches

Our healthy school lunches are provided by Chartwells. All children in Reception, year 1 and year 2 are eligible for a free school meal and children under five are eligible for free school milk. Children under 7 will also get a free piece of fruit each day under the ‘Free Fruit for School’ scheme. Milk and fruit are available for older children to purchase through school. An up-to-date school lunch menu is available on the Teachers 2 Parents APP.
